Diagnostics

Diagnostic Review and Benchmarking

There is increasing pressure to ensure that SD is fully integrated into central decision-making processes throughout the organisation. Over time, Government funding is likely to require demonstrable progress in this direction. This requires addressing the following:

• What is your ‘business case’ for SD?
• What are your key priority areas?
• What are you doing to deliver SD?
• Is there organisational awareness of the SD agenda?
• What are the ‘easy wins’?
• What are the longer term issues?
• How can you improve?
• Can you reliably demonstrate improvement?

Most organisations have difficulty in answering some or all these questions. But they are being increasingly asked, internally and externally, by stakeholders, interest groups and funding bodies.

We help organisations conduct a diagnostic review and evaluate the findings, and use them to draw up a plan of action. The process is based around examining the organisations plans, strategy and management approach, identifying strengths and weaknesses in the programme management of sustainability issues. We then help prioritise actions and provide a series of recommendations on how best to develop a programme management approach that reliably demonstrated progress in implementing SD.
